Slavica Savić obtained her BSc degree in 2002. from the Faculty of Physical Chemistry, University of Belgrade. In 2009 she received her PhD degree in Materials in electronics, Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad. From Jan 2003-Sept. 2008 she worked at Institute of Technical Sciences of the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts as research assistant. From Sept. 2008.-July 2015 she worked as research assistant (2008-2010), research associate (2010- March 2015) and senior research associate (April 2015-July 2015) at Department of Material Science at Institute for Multidisciplinary Research, University of Belgrade. From July 2012 to December 2012 she was a visiting research scientist at Pontificia Universidade Catolica (PUC) Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. From July 2015-July 2020 she was senior research associate at BioSense Institute. Since July 2020 she is principal research fellow at BioSense Institute. Her research interest include advanced ceramic materials processing and characterization, materials science solid-state chemistry and physics. Specific field of research activity: Synthesis and characterisation of Eu, Zr, Nb and Ta – doped BCY10 cermets as electrolytes for IT-SOFC; Synthesis and characterization of thermistor material NiMn2O4 obtained mechanochemically and by complex polimerization method. Thermoelectric materials: Mechanochemically assisted solid state synthesis of pure NaCo2O4 and doped with Cu; Synthesis of NaCo2O4 by citrate gel process. Current activities are focused to the synthesis and characterization of MOx (M=Ti, Sn, Zn) for applications in gas sensors and humidity sensors. The significance of her research is confirmed with more than 50 scientific papers in relevant scientific journals.
