Milica Brkić

Milica Brkić is a researcher at the Biosense Institute and a doctoral student of Informatics with a Bachelor in Mathematics and a Master diploma in Data science obtained at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. During her doctoral studies, she spent the summer semester at the University of Coimbra in Portugal where she studied as a scholarship holder of the Erasmus+ Exchange Program. Since November 2018 Milica has been working as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Sciences, she is responsible for the Programming for data science course. Her research focuses on the application of machine learning in agriculture. She was a part of the BioSense team that developed a novel algorithm for the classification of maize hybrids tolerant to drought and heat stress, which won the third prize at the Syngenta Crop Challenge in Analytics 2019.
