Ecosystems and antropogenic pressures
Preservation of natural resources and ecosystem health is the basis for obtaining ecosystem services, such as pollination, fertility and biological activity of soil, on which agricultural practice is highly dependent. The first step on the path of preserving nature and the resources it provides is understanding the scope and intensity of changes in it caused by human activities. Our group investigates the effects of human impact on ecosystems and biodiversity through monitoring and quantification of changes in the environment. By recognizing changes in ecosystems in a timely manner, adequate steps can be taken, before the mentioned changes become irreversible or too harmful.
