Sara Brunet

Sara completed her bachelor’s and master’s studies in Food Biotechnology at the Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad. In October 2023, she enrolled in doctoral studies in Biotechnology at the same faculty. During her master’s studies, she spent one month at the University of Agriculture and Life Sciences in Budapest, Hungary, as a CEEPUS scholarship holder for the program “For Safe and Healthy Food in Middle-Europe.” She has just completed a 2-month specialization practice at the BioSense Institute.
At the Center for Biosystems, her research will focus on the bioprinting of cell carriers for the biotechnological production of sparkling wines. She will also be involved in microbial biotechnology, focusing on the detection and biocontrol of pathogens in agriculture.
Sara is one of the main coordinators of the Scientific Club at the Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad, where she participates in the popularization of science and encourages students to actively engage in research work. She is also a member of UNS SRNA – Association of Serbian Women in Science.
