Digital cultural heritage
Digitalization of cultural property encapsulates workflows and technologies that are used for non-invasive recording and research of individual finds, monuments of culture and cultural landscapes. It also includes methods for their reconstruction, permanent safe-keeping in digital formats and presentation. Using methods of microcomputerized tomography, photogrammetric or laser (or combined) scanning, through terrestrial-based instruments, UAV or piloted aircraft, digital twins of cultural property are produced, in sizes ranging from less than 1cm, up to whole protected areas, measured in square kilometers. From this data, using software for visualization and digital reconstruction, visual representations of the original state of the objects, structures from ancient history and even physical look of people may be achieved. In further steps, such products may be 3D printed, produced as engaging animations or even interactive video games. Institute BioSense is able to provide a complete scope of related tasks, including data collection, processing and presenting digitalized monuments of culture.
