Application of modern information technologies in vocational agricultural schools and agricultural stations
Implementation period: 01/10/2019 - 30/09/2020
Type of Project: National
Project aim: Higher profit that can be achieved by using information technologies in agriculture, and thus increase and preserve yields.
About the project: The project will focus on encouraging agricultural high schools to include information technologies in their curriculums and thus enable students to become familiar with the concept of precision agriculture that would bring them greater expertise and the new vision for the future of agricultural production.
On the other hand, due to shortcomings in the infrastructure for precision agriculture, experts in extension services throughout Serbia do not have the technology to conduct demonstration tests in various areas of agriculture. The knowledge transfer system is only partially functional, as there is an obvious lack of systemic connection between extension services and knowledge creators (cooperation with institutes, centers, and faculties). Therefore, the goal of this project is to provide support in the form of education and technology that will help both agricultural schools and agricultural extension services to improve their research and thus induce higher agricultural production.
