BioSense Institute had the honour of hosting a high-level delegation from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, led by its Director, Academician Prof. Dr. Grigory Trubnikov, during his first official visit to the Republic of Serbia.

The delegation was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Snežana Pajović, Acting Director of the BioSense Institute, who presented the Institute’s mission, development, and key achievements. “As a member of the University of Novi Sad and one of Serbia’s leading research institutes, the BioSense Institute develops cutting-edge digital technologies that contribute to sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, and the improvement of quality of life,” said Prof. Dr. Snežana Pajović.

The visit continued with presentations showcasing the Institute’s research, innovation, and technological capacities, delivered by representatives of our Centres:

• Dr. Goran Kitić, Head of the Centre for Sensor Technologies
• Dr. Ljiljana Šašić Zorić, Senior Research Associate, Centre for Biosystems
• Dr. Sanja Brdar, Head of the Centre for Information Technologies
• Milica Trajković, Head of the Centre for Innovation and Business Development
• Dragana Mađerčić, Centre for Product Development

The delegation also toured the BioSense Institute’s laboratories and research infrastructure, gaining first-hand insight into the cutting-edge technologies and interdisciplinary research that drive innovation at the Institute.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience, strengthen international scientific cooperation, and discuss future opportunities for collaboration between two distinguished research institutions.
