BioSense Institute researchers Dr. Ljiljana Janjušević, Dr. Stefan Jarić, and MSc Sara Brunet recently visited the Institute of Materials for Electronics and Magnetism (IMEM) in Parma, Italy, as part of the bilateral collaboration between the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and the BioSense Institute.
During the visit, the researchers worked alongside Prof. Giuseppe Tarabella’s research group at the Bioelectronics Laboratory on the project “The Origin of Electrical Signals in Living Mycelium.” The project focuses on investigating electrical signaling within living mycelium networks.
The visit provided an opportunity for joint experimental work, the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and discussions on the results achieved so far and the next steps in the research. Bringing together the complementary expertise of researchers from both institutions also generated new ideas and opportunities for continued collaboration.
