Sandra Jovanović

Position:Junior Research Assistant
Sandra Jovanović earned her Master’s degree in Ecology at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad. Her professional focus is on nature and biodiversity conservation, with a strong emphasis on nature-based solutions. In her work, she places special importance on collaboration with key stakeholders in nature conservation, from institutions to local communities.
Sandra has dedicated the past ten years of her career to resolving human-wildlife conflicts, with a particular focus on illegal hunting and bird poisoning. She gained her professional experience in the civil sector, working with and alongside some of the most prominent environmental and nature conservation organizations in Serbia. Over the years, she has held a variety of roles—from field researcher and desk analyst to national and international project coordinator, eventually reaching executive-level management positions.
She currently sees her work as a mission to ensure the well-being of both people and biodiversity.
