Nevena Jaćimović holds a BEng degree in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology and an MEng degree in Materials Engineering from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade. She is currently a PhD student in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, and a Junior Research Assistant at the BioSense Institute. Her research focuses on the development of advanced biomimetic 3D in vitro systems for biomedical applications, with a particular emphasis on functional nanomaterials and composite scaffolds for controlled drug delivery. In her work, she integrates approaches from nanotechnology, biomaterials science, and tissue engineering to develop platforms for studying cell–material interactions and advancing modern therapeutic strategies.
