Marija Lemić

Marija Lemić has been employed as a Junior Research Assistant at the BioSense Institute since February 2025. She is a PhD student in Biotechnology at the Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad, where she completed her Bachelor’s studies in Food Biotechnology (2023) and her Master’s studies in Biochemical Engineering (2024).

During her studies, her laboratory research primarily focused on the extraction of proteins from plant sources, as well as their characterization and application in water purification. Marija has participated in various conferences and case studies and is a member of the Serbian Chemical Society.

At the Center for Sensor Technologies, her work focuses on the formulation, characterization, and application of biopolymer films and coatings.
