Luka Vlajković was born on 23 November 2001 in Šabac. He completed his primary education at the “Janko Veselinović” Primary School and graduated from the Šabac Gymnasium. In 2020, he enrolled in bachelor studies in Biology at the Department of Biology and Ecology, Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology on 2 September 2024, with a grade point average of 9.86. In 2024, within the Laboratory of Genetics, he authored a student research paper entitled “Molecular Diversity of the Cheilosia laticornis Group (Diptera: Syrphidae).” In the same year, he enrolled in a master’s degree in Biology at the same faculty. He successfully defended his Master’s thesis, entitled “Metagenomic Analysis of Microbial Communities of the Danube River Using Whole-Genome Sequencing,” on 17 December 2025, completing his studies with a grade point average of 10.00. He was awarded the “Dositeja” scholarship in recognition for his academic achievements. In 2025, he enrolled in a PhD program in Biological Sciences at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad. Between June 2025 and April 2026, he was employed at Hemofarm as an Expert Associate in Quality Control. During his employment, he received training in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
