Dunja Santrač completed her bachelor’s and master’s academic studies in Biochemical Engineering at the Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad. Since November 2025, she has been a PhD student at the same faculty, in the field of Biotechnology. During her undergraduate studies, she was engaged in the investigation of the potential of agricultural waste, as well as the evaluation of the probiotic potential of Bacillus isolates. While on her master’s studies, Dunja completed a four-month internship at the BioSense Institute, where she worked on the application of Trichoderma fungi in biocontrol and the evaluation of their antifungal activity. Throughout her studies, she participated in various student conferences and case studies. She is a member of the Serbian Chemical Society. Her future research focus will be microbial biotechnology, with particular interest in the probiotic potential of microorganisms, as well as the biological control of phytopathogens in agriculture.
