Dr. V. Divakar Botcha was recently appointed as a Senior researcher at BioSense Institute. He received his Ph.D. in 2016 at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), India, in the field of 2D materials & semiconductor nanocomposites, and their optoelectronic applications. During his doctorate, he developed a novel technique with a low-cost, energy-efficient, and scalable method for the transfer of GO/RGO monolayer sheets from the air-water interface to solid substrates. He did his postdoc on advanced 2D TMD materials and fabricated many photodetector devices at Shenzhen University, China, and he also developed various photonic structures where he worked as a senior scientist in a Photonics center (cleanroom), in China, after his postdoc. During this job, he was a facility in charge of High-resolution electron beam lithography (EBL) (models: EBPG-5150, Raith pioneer Two) and taught device fabrication processes such as layout design, development, fabrication process, safety protocol, maintaining 100 and 5000 cleanrooms, etc. during the sampling process for UG and PG students, researchers, and some associated companies. His current scientific interests are in the field of growth and fabrication of 2D-based nanodevices. Before joining here, he also worked as a Senior R&D engineer in PROGNOMICS Ltd in the UK and developed Multiplex graphene-based FET sensors for cardiac biomarkers and milk allergen detection. He has over 8 years of experience in cleanrooms, handling many fabrication tools. He has authored and co-authored over 30 scientific publications and one patent, cited over 495 times with an H-index of 13 and an i10 index of 16. He is also a reviewer and speaker for various journals and conferences.
