Daria Ilic
Position:Junior Research Assistant in Centre of Sensor Technologies
Daria Ilić received her BSc degree in Environmental Engineering and MSc degree in Water Treatment and Safety Engineering at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad. Daria gained experience in the field of basics of modeling processes and plants for the treatment of waste and raw water, and water treatment methodology development, during internship work at the Institute for Water Management “Jaroslav Černi” in Belgrade, Serbia. During the master’s studies, Daria had the opportunity to upgrade and expand her knowledge in the field of water treatment, detection of hazardous substances, application of natural adsorbents for the removal of arsenic from the water and wastewater and UV–VIS spectrophotometry, working on the “Bog in Box” project at the Environmental Research Institute, University of the Highlands and Islands, in Scotland. She is currently a PhD student of Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad. Daria´s primary field of research and interest are Quantum Wastewater Treatment Techniques, Adsorption Method of Wastewater Remediation with natural adsorbents, Water Management, UV-VIS Spectroscopic Analysis and Membrane Inlet Mass Spectrometry. Since September 2022, Daria has been joined the Center for Sensing Technologies of the BioSense Institute as a Junior Research Assistant. The application of Portable Membrane Inlet Mass Spectrometry for the detection of volatile organic compounds, as biomarkers for determining a certain natural species’ condition of health, represent her currently research focus.
