Aleksandra obtained her PhD from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Novi Sad. She works as a Research Associate at the Center for Biosystems. As a Plant Pathologist, her scientific interests are diverse; her work emphasizes food safety by applying ecologically friendly methods in plant disease management. Her main focus is topics like biological control, rapid pathogen detection methods, and other novel strategies that reduce the reliance on chemical pesticides. Her activities involve monitoring, isolation, and molecular characterization of pathogens and biological agents. Currently, she is participating in Cost Action projects aimed at developing and promoting sustainable agriculture practices and innovative pest management strategies. She is a member of the Plant Protection Society of Serbia. As an author or co-author, she has published scientific papers in several international journals (e.g., Toxins, Journal of Plant Diseases and Protection, Plant Disease, etc.).
