Remote Sensing and GIS Laboratory

Supports research activities of the Institute in the fields of processing, storage and retrieval of data acquired from multimodal sensors, integration of large amounts of multimodal data acquired from different sources (such as WSNs, satellites, meteorological measurement stations, field surveys, etc.), development of systems for instant access to relevant data presented in the most informative manner to end-users (such as GIS database), as well as in the development of imaging techniques and state-of-the-art machine learning approaches such as support vector machines, deep learning and evolutionary algorithms.
