Slobodan Birgermajer was born in 1981. in Subotica. He received electrical engineering degree from Technical College, Subotica, Serbia, in 2006, and BSc and MSc degrees in electrical and computer engineering from Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia, in 2012, where he is currently a third year PhD student and employed as a researcher in RF and microwave engineering. Mr. Birgermajer is currently working in design of multi-band microwave filters, application of artificial EM materials (metamaterials), and photonic crystal structures.

Vesna Crnojević Bengin obtains Dipl. Ing. University of Novi Sad 1994, MSc University of Belgrade 1997, PhD University of Novi Sad 2006. She is associate professor at FTS, UNS, Co-founder of the BioSense Center and Leader of the research group for microelectronics and microwave engineering. She authored more than 90 conference and journal papers and three books. She takes participation in the numerous national and international projects and different activities:
Coordinator of two FP7 and two EUREKA! research projects, as well as a participant in many other FP7, COST, IPA and national research projects.

Associate Editor of the International Journal of Electronics, published by Taylor & Francis, member of several international Technical Program Committees, reviewer for leading scientific journals such as Proceedings of IEEE, IEEE MWJCL and IET Microwave, Antennas & Propagation.

From 2008 to 2011, representative of Group 11 in the General Assembly of the European Microwave Association (EuMA). From 2011-today, the leader of the EuMA’s topical group MAGEO – Microwave Applications in Agriculture, Environment and Earth Observation.

Norbert Cselyuszka was born in Sombor, Republic of Serbia in 1985. He received the PhD degree from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia, in 2015 in the field of acoustic metamaterials. His main research interest is EM and acoustic artifical materials (metamaterials), and interaction between electromagnetic/acoustic fields and artificial engineered materials. He has participated in a number of national and international research projects and published four journal papers and nine international conference papers.

Golden Paragraph
In 2009, Georges Dubourg received the engineer degree in electronics from the University of Sciences and Technologies in Bordeaux. He received his Ph.D degree in microelectronic from the University of Bordeaux in 2012. His research work consisted in the fabrication of organic microcantilevers, their characterization and their potential application as bio/chemical sensors. During his Ph.D thesis, He introduced a new activity in the laboratory concerning organic MEMS for biosensing applications and, then, he acquired a strong background in organic MEMS fabrication. From January 2013 to July 2014, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the IEMN where he developed an active microfluidic device integrating electroosmotic micropumps, sensor temperature and microheaters. With this project, He acquired a strong background in simulation, design and microfabrication of microfluidic devices. Furthermore, he keeps a real interest in the bio/chemical research application area, in which he wants to focus his future research by the development of wireless and user-friendly innovative sensing microdevices for agriculture and environmental applications.

Nikolina Janković works at the BioSense Center as a researcher. She received PhD degree from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia in 2013 in the field of microwave multi-band filters. Her main research interests are in the design of microwave passive devices, application of artificial EM materials (metamaterials), and metatronics. She has participated in a number of national and international research projects and published five journal papers and eleven international conference papers. In addition, she works as administrative and financial manager of the FP7 project InnoSense.

Goran Kitić is currently on a final year of PhD studies on the University of Novi Sad with the main task of designing microwave soil moisture sensor. Another field of research is related to sensors based on microfluidics and concepts like Electrowetting-On-Dielectric and Laboratory-On-Chip. Because of the nature of his research work Goran Kitić developed experience in the field of different fabrication technologies (LTCC, thin film technology, PCB). His research work resulted in two international journal publications, and numerous papers published on international conferences. During his research career he was involved in 13 international and national projects.

Dr. Georgios Niarchos is a Research Fellow in the Microelectronics Group of BioSense Center in Novi Sad. He has a B.Sc. of Physics from the University of Athens (2006), Greece and has received his M.Sc. (2008) and PhD in Microelectronics (2013) from the University of Athens in collaboration with the National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos”. During his PhD, he also held a 2-month position of Visiting Scholar in the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA working on novel flexible nanogenerators for Energy Harvesting applications. He was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate for 18 months in the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (USA), where he worked in Remote Sensing of chemical compounds for security applications. Since October 1st 2014, he is a member in the BioSense Center and he is currently working on the development of novel NOx and NDVI sensors. His research interests include MEMS, Energy Harvesting, Micro- and Nano-fabrication and Optics.

Vasa Radonić is senior researcher at Biosense center. He received the B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph. D. degrees from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia, in 2004, 2007 and 2010 respectively. He is currently working in the field of RF and microwave engineering. Dr Radonic has authored or co-authored about 50 conference, letter and journal papers and he is participant in several FP7, COST, Eureka and national research projects. His main research interests are in the design of novel metamaterial unit cells and artificial electromagnetic materials, design of conventional and metamaterial-based microwave passive devices and antenna design.

Dr Radonic is the recipient of the award granted by the European Microwave Accosication for the best student paper at MMS conference in 2008, as well as the recipient of the Department for Power, Electronic and Telecommunication Award for Scientific Contribution in 2008.
